We rescued this donkey 13 months ago and recently people have been commenting on her belly asking if she's pregnant. We are new to donkeys so unsure what to look for I've added some pictures would love your opinions.

Do you have a Jack? Donkey gestation is 12-14 months. You have had her 13 months so if she was bred before you got her she should be due pretty quick. Does she have an udder starting? If you don't have a jack on the property and she goes past 14 months, then she just has a hay belly.

No we don't have a jack. She would have to have been bred before we got her she has a swollen udder but mainly just on one side?

She doesn't have a belly or anything I've not even thought about checking her udder

If the daughter is a 4-year-old and was in with the Jack then both could be pregnant.
