Loving the herd life
I was moving my sow to wean the 5 week old piglets, got her in the 4x8 trailer, easy, she finished the food she was eating, she looked at me and jumped out of the trailer. 32 inch high rails. Her teats almost drag the ground but she cleared the top rail from a standing jump. 400 plus lb pig jumped like a dog to get back to her babies. Now the trailer has 4' rails and ill try again.
The new side rails worked great. Getting here to go in the trailer took some time,
she would only go in half way.
I was ready to make sausage out of her right there, but my friend that was helping me took his time and whispered sweet things in her ear
and got her in. Then he was bent over removing a chain an she tried bite him on the a$$,
he jumped about 3 feet. We got her down to the pig tractor, she is NOT
a happy pig. In about 3 weeks after she dries up and puts on some weight she will be SAUSAGE
