Oh, yeah. How do I check the goats tail ligaments??? I heard that is another way to tell when they are nearing kidding.

If you feel around the base of their tail, it feels like 2 pencils, one in either side, holding their tail. (At least that is how it feels to me. Those are the ligaments you are feeling for).

They get softer close to kidding. Within 24hrs of kidding you can't feel them at all.

Just run your hand along the top of the tail, where it attaches to the body. Way easier if you have a couple to compare to.

If you can't find it/ aren't sure, you might want to find a YouTube video to watch.
