Do take care of your wax - comb is golden in more ways than one!

Today was sunny and warm, 31° in the shade. It was really interesting to see how many bee's come out to die. You never see them in the grass, but on a blanket of white snow you can find them every where in about a 60' circle. Many others were out and about sunning and cleansing. So cool to have them alight and hitch a ride on me for a while before moving off.

Sorry to hear you lost your hives Latestarter! I too am getting new bees, placed order all ready. For now back to the books and study time.

I had some frames of honey that I gave them about a month ago. I also gave them two of those winter patties. They don't seem to be into them yet. I figure that i have about 5 weeks to go before I can give them sugar surup. I think they will be ok.
