Moses gets a partner, Sophie has a case of the bxtchies and Caddo snuck in behind the generator repairman’s truck, hoping to not be noticed. She’s 5 months old, full Maremma with livestock exposure. I’m keeping her in the dog pen with Moses for awhile. May keep her original name or modify it slightly.

I copied and pasted it for you.

She is 5 months. She is a sweety having been here a whole14 hours and having no time to get into anything. She didn’t even pee in my car during a multi hour drive. Moses likes her, Sophie Does Not. That will take some sorting out. My “last dog” was three dogs ago, thinking I would get out of sheep but sheep seem to keep choosing me. And dogs too. Ironically the name I like “Valla” turns up in several languages. Italian: valley. Old Norse/German: valley, meadow or singled out, chosen. Her name is actually Valda. Not a bad name, meaning warrior, Germanic. I think I’ll call her Valla and neither she or Hubbs (with his hearing) will know the difference.

Morning all. We missed the severe weather the past few days but also missed the rain. Cool, breezy and less humidity today. Pupster is fine and frisky and Hoovers up the food like nothing I’ve seen. I will turn the sheep into the catch lane that separates the dog pen and the safe pen today for a meet and greet. All will be separated by a sturdy fence. She has experience but I have a couple of onery ewes I want to supervise contact with. Sophie is full diva mode, not liking pup at all. She is relenting on the constant stinkeye so slight progress. Have a great day everyone.

Well I clagged (it’s a word) up Coffee Anyone with Vala pics. I can forget I made a distinct thread faster than something or other. Today WE HAVE THE TERRIBLE CHEWS. Vala was ardently gnawing on her smelly Lolly toy when I noticed she worked a couple of pieces off. They were promptly swallowed when she noticed I noticed. Lolly is a hard rubber creation that can’t stand up to hard chewing anymore, having been the property of at least one other pup then spending time underground. I ll probably see the bits of Lolly um tomorrow. I found a Kong from the early Pleistocene. Cleaned it up and will try the hotdog in center trick. I’d give her a bone but my dogs fight like lions over them. She’s also worked on her dog house which is why I decided not to replace the particle board or paint it. Youth. It’s wasted on the young (as Vala pounds past the back door for the third time). May be sheep time.
