I'm with @Baymule and @Mini Horses ... tell him they are gone, and put them in the freezer... Chicken soup and chicken salad sandwiches. And I hate butchering chickens anymore... but I'd give them to someone before I would deal with this person again. They are waiting for you to say just come get them for nothing... so DON'T....

Well, I had to eat some crow last night. Apparently I misunderstood his wording in the email and his intention the whole time was to get them on the way back from Chicago. 🤷🏻‍♀️ He still wanted them and he just picked them up. He pointed out when he got here that I must homeschool (since a couple of the boys came out on the porch) and said I would have been home anyway. LOL, no. Do people actually think homeschoolers never leave their house? As it is I have a mom's night tonight so I'll be gone, weather permitting. I told him I regularly have plans that take me away.
It was a fine interaction and I'm glad the roosters were gone, but it's still registering on my annoyance scale.

I appreciate everyone's input. I will still be quick not to tolerate flaky buyers.
I had a guy who assured me on 3 separate occasions that he was coming out to buy a couple of lambs last year and never showed. So rude and annoying. I don't care if people change their minds and end up not wanting my animal, but I would really appreciate them telling me so I don't waste my day waiting for them.

I want to post this in case it can help anyone else.
My black cat Fatso was pre-diabetic the last time he went to the vet (August of this year). I asked the vet about switching a diet to see if that would help and he kind of halfway acknowledged that could work but started giving me instructions on how to administer insulin.
I knew buying and administering insulin was not something my husband would agree to. Too expensive and too restrictive if we need to travel.
I went home and did a bunch of research on either making raw cat food or on which store brand would be the best for him.
Making raw food would definitely work but I kept getting stuck on how the ingredients had to be exactly right since cats have a specialized diet. It's one of those things where I feel like I have enough on my plate so I think it's worth it to spend extra money and buy pre-made food. Thankfully DH agreed.
I decided to buy Wysong Epigen for him. Some of the reviews I read online said that their cats didn't like it so they gave it a low review, but my cat loves it. He's now been on it for about 4 months. He's lost weight and is no longer drinking/urinating excessively. Happy dance
