My Messy Life - Journal

No new babies or signs of labor today. We have two ewes left to go.
All lambs are terrific except for the one whom I wasn't sure was getting enough milk. Her tummy feels okay, but definitely on the lighter side for her frame and she's acting lethargic. Eek. I'm mixing up some milk for her and going to get it in her.
I decided to sell several lambs from last year. Several of them didn't grow very well. I don't see keeping them on our valuable grass when their frames are lackluster. I don't even see potential there.
I've never taken animals to an auction before but I'll see about doing that with these after lambing is done. Dh wants to wait until after lambing in case we get another bottle baby. Then we can take them all at once.

It helped that I've watched a bunch of shirt videos by sandi Brock on yt recently. She's always casually reaching in and pulling lambs. I figured it's a skill I need to have. Grateful the lamb was ok. DH thought for sure it would be dead, though he didn't tell me that at the time.

🤣 my husband is so hard to scare. It's frustrating. I can hide put in a lot of effort to scare him and the most I get is a look of surprise. Meanwhile I'll scream and jump into the air.
My husband doesn't scream either...😂
I have never been able to scare my DH either. He sure gets me thought. :idunno
