Yikes, just did a search. Looks like a bald faced hornet nest. Very aggressive.
You can probably find videos on how to remove it safely. I'm thinking smoke, wasp spray, at night and using a heavy duty lawn & leaf bag. But, I'd look for a video.

It looks so small, not like a typical wasp or hornet's nest. I submitted the photo to bugguide.net, as they have scientists helping with identifying photos.

Trust me, I'm an absolute wuss when it comes to things with stingers. I'm not sticking around after spraying that thing!Well that's certain enough for me!

Wasp spray comes in 20' stream dispensers.
It's what I used when dogs attacked Caleb, sprayed them right in the face.

So, after a little more research. Paper wasps are usually more aggressive than hornets. But, hornets will attack in a swarm if they feel their nest is threatened.
You might want to have your hubs help you with this. Get it while it's still small.
