Yikes, just did a search. Looks like a bald faced hornet nest. Very aggressive.

You can probably find videos on how to remove it safely. I'm thinking smoke, wasp spray, at night and using a heavy duty lawn & leaf bag. But, I'd look for a video.

Well that's certain enough for me! 😁 I'd be real careful. Wasps can be very aggressive. Maybe, at night, blow some foam insulation into it... 😵‍💫 & Run.
Trust me, I'm an absolute wuss when it comes to things with stingers. I'm not sticking around after spraying that thing!
I should probably ask DH for help. He's scared of nothing. 💪
 
So, after a little more research. Paper wasps are usually more aggressive than hornets. But, hornets will attack in a swarm if they feel their nest is threatened.

You might want to have your hubs help you with this. Get it while it's still small.
