New "Farmer". Looking to become more self sufficient

HI all. I am a new farmer. My family has a flock of 10 chickens we are slowly expanding to 30 for egg laying and we plan this next spring (2015) to introduce 3 bee hives, 50 broilers, and 2 pigs into our farming community.
I am very excited to learn to do as our ancestors did and hopefully become a farm to table household. I only wish I owned enough land for cows and goats.

Welcome to BYH . Hey ; I live in a small City and almost 1 acre of yard and have 5 goats and 4 chickens. Plus I grow a wide variety of Fruits and vegetables / and more on it to. 2014 is when I started with the goats and chickens. Still learning ............ This place is great. Good Luck

Dwarf Nigerian goats are really great on a small piece of land. Hint hint hint.
