New from East Texas

Hello Everyone,
I live in East Texas with my family. We currently have 70+ chickens, and we'll be getting a small flock of Registered Katahdin Sheep from @Margali on or around December 1st. We homeschool and are new to homesteading. I look forward to speaking with more likeminded people on here and learning from others.

Also, please bear with me as I learn to navigate this site.

I buy feed at Cherokee Warehouse in Rusk. I take my animals to Houston County Veterinary Clinic.

I’m happy for you that you got your starter flock from @Margali . She has good sheep and has worked hard to build her flock. Welcome to the forum, I came here years ago, knowing nothing about sheep, and the wonderful people here were glad to share their knowledge with me and help me along the way.

I came here knowing very little about pigs and the people here helped me get them started. Watch out for that @Baymule she is an enabler, poor me trying to make ponds out here in the desert and now I got 11 pigs.

I didn’t tell you to go buy 11 piggies! That’s on you! 2 would have been a good start, I just didn’t know who I was dealing with. Now I know you, you are an overachiever, go all in and if 1 is good, 20 is even better! Hahaha. I’ve learned now to be a little more specific, especially when it comes to numbers!
But yes, I’m absolutely an enabler!
