Have you thought about horsehair brow bands with beadwork? Or fancy reins with tassels? You know us horse people are crazy about dressing up our horses.

Thank you all! They are so much fun to make, and I love how different they all turn out. This might sound silly, but once I pick the base, the hair, and the thread, I kind of let the basket tell me how it wants to be finished.
I have looked into browbands, and have actually researched different styles. I do like to add beads to my bracelets and necklaces, so it wouldn't be a stretch to add them to a browband.
I've never done reins, but I have done a few big tassels or shoo flys. I also do bridle charms!

Brow bands --- oh oh oh ------ here's a thought --- brow band made with hair FROM the horse who will wear it. I would bet the hunter/jumper/dressage crowd would LOVE that. While I'm not in that crowd, I do have connections to them (high end folks).
