[Mini Horses]

I dislike the harvesting part...mainly the mess from live to in the freezer. But broody hens create that situation! Sorry for the chore you face. At least it's well raised chicken in the pot.

I'm hoping my son will get here soon because he's the only person that is willing to help me with the chore of the process. My roosters are all beautiful birds but the attitude from them is unacceptable especially considering the 2 autistic grandsons. It's just best to take care of the issue than to have grandkids get hurt.

Bad attitude in any livestock is not something to keep around, no matter how pretty he/she is.

Catch them at night, put in a pet carrier or cage, slaughter in the morning. I taught my neighbor how to scald and pick the feathers. But seriously, just skin the roosters.

While I haven't done chickens, I cleaned pheasant when I was a kid. Parents hunted, dogs never missed a bird. They come home, dump the birds in the garage and I had to clean them all (they usually hunted with friends so I got theirs as well). I ended up just fileting the breast right off the bird. No fuss, no muss.

Whiner tried to kill my girl Cheeks. She's alive and inside right now. She's eating and she did take a couple of small sips of water. He tore her back feathers out. I'm just happy she's alive and now it's raining here.
