Update on the middle grandson: he has a cracked jaw on the left side and on his left hand between his pointer and middle fingers are cracked. He has been off of the take it easy from the broken arm for all of 8 days. We definitely need to invest in bubble wrap

He got all that from a burn pile? Just put HIM in a bubble.

He went to the skate park and fell off the scooter he was on. Did I also mention that he has 4 stitches in his chin?

Yeeeeowwww!! Poor guy. Hope he heals fast - esp the jaw! Guessing he's on soft foods or soup for awhile. No fun esp at Christmas time with all the goodies.

My chickens decided that they didn't like the nest box so they laid eggs under the back porch. 17 in all

Grandson will heal up and this will become a family story. It isn't funny now, but it will be later.
Silly chickens! Wouldn't it be funny if you could rig up some sort of jack in the box type trap that would jump up at them when they went under the porch to hide their eggs?

That would be a fun thing to try. It would be my luck that they would just find an even worse place to lay eggs.
