I was told that Moses (our new llama) will dig up the pasture roots and all when he's eating and eventually nothing will grow out there BLAH. Not what i wanted to hear, so i decided to come to the experts.

Is he gonna just pull up all the grass roots and all and we'll have a barren pasture?

Who told you that? That is not true. In fact, llamas are a lot easier on pasture than sheep, goats, cows or horses. Of course if you were to leave him in a small area without supplementing his feed with hay, he will eat the grass down really short.

Good deal i've had two people say he would destroy the pasture, which is a little over an acre and one say heck no when he's done with your weeds i'd take him for a few weeks to eat mine down LOL.

Alpacas and llamas are some of the easiest livestock on pasture. Not sure why anyone would think otherwise.

Moses is adorable. Glad you were able to give him a good home.
