Why did it shut down?

Economics. GM is in trouble and it's an old plant and not as efficient as others so they have been working on closing it. They laid off 1200 employees last December. Keeping only 110 to finish an order. Now that the order is finished the plant will close.

they shut down alot of their plants for the summer.to see if they copuldnt sell the back log of new cars trucks an suvs.an once they sell them they will reopen the plants.

It looks like this one is close permanantly. The plant is old and the updates it needs just are not worth it. To bad as there were alot of people who worked there.

yes thats sad when they close a plant completely because it needs alot of updates.but it happens.
