Charlotte weighs 25 lbs and is 6 wks old, I got her intervectmin 1% injectable. If I am understanding correctly she should get 1.5 (cl?) dose administered subQ. So far Charlotte has had one dose of rebel 7--I j know she needs other medications but I dont know what or how much, can you please help me keep her up to date and healthy. For instance, is she ready now for tetnus toxoid shot--what else. Im confused, thanks so much.

Ivermectin 1% injectible when used for deworming purposes in goats is best given orally at a rate of 1ml per 22-25 pounds of goat.

I have to question why you're giving a 6wk old goat ivermectin though... It is very easy to develop chemical resistant worms if you're not careful and deworm when it's not needed. Please read the Parasite Management article (link is in my signature below) for more information.

Here are some articles for you to start with:

Thanks for the information Elevan. I was tpld to worm her now by a lady who has a rather large nigerian dwarf goat herd. I dont know if she has worms or not, so I think it best to not give it to her. what should I watch for in the future when she may be heavily infested. Does she need anything now? Tetnaus, or other things, I gave her the Rebel 7 because the lady I bought her from gave me 2 bolus, said to give one dose at 4 weeks and the other dose at 8 weeks. Its hard not knowing what you are doing and wanting the best for your animals. Thanks again.

What is Rebel 7? Dewormer? Vaccine? I've never heard of it.

I vaccinate our kids w/ CD-T at 1-2 wks of age and then boost 3 wks later. You can get CD-T at a farm store, they commonly carry "Bar Vac" brand.
Dosage is 2cc sub Q (regardless of age / weight /breed. Boost in 30 days and then again annually.

The first link that I gave you "Basic Health" gives some info for quarantine deworming when you first bring a goat home. Beyond that I would only deworm as needed based on a fecal or known symptoms.

Never heard of Rebel 7 either :/

I vaccinate for CDT with a custom mix from my vet that he calls "Lamb Combo". It has the CDT vaccine and Bo-Se in it (and only costs me $1.06 per dose including the syringe/needle).

I have no idea what rebel 7 is either, but the first two things i would be doing for your kid is the CD T vaccination and treating for coccidiosis.

Yep, definitely add treating for coccidiosis to your list. (That's one of the links that I provided earlier).

What breed is Charlotte? (just curiosity)

You might want to research a little before doing the CD&T vaccination. NOt sure what that relationship would be with the Calvary 9, since technically that has to do with the CD part of the vaccine. I am not familiar with this product, but I don't know If you should be giving both.

Albon or sulfa-dimethoxine is what you need to treat the coccidiosis.
