What do you do with all the milk? With 2 boys, I know y'all drink a lot if milk, but are there leftovers? Do you make cheese, or herdshares?

Lately? Mozzarella, feeding baby goats and 3 boys. Im not ready to start hard cheesing this year yet.

Polish are so cute. I love the Tolbunt Polish, so pretty.

I like cheddar and jack.
But so far full fat, butter flavored mozzarella is pretty edible and kids eat a lot of pizza. This is my herd of pizza goats.

Next year is a kid selling and culling year for the Lamancha herd, so expect some goat subtraction.

Hard culling is always a good thing. Once your mind is made up, don't take any second looks. My culls always look better as they are loaded on the truck. LOL

Same when I separate out keeper kids/lambs. The ones to sell always suddenly look perfect after they are loaded or offered to someone for sale.

Polish - love them. My first was a Golden Laced Polish. Not many chickens around here get named - but that one did - I named her Elvis. The black feathers on her head made her look like Elvis

Down 1 polish and 3 bantams, add to that the one polish and bantam doa in the box...one splayed leg campine and one bantam that can't stay upright and sits and rocks on its butt 24/7. We had 42 ordered, so still plenty, but man, I don't think the cold snap we had did good by these chicks.
