Thanks. That's the idea.
Those are especially fat and spoiled because they were kept dry yearlings but I do kind of want everyone a little fat an spoiled. They have farther to fall body condition-wise if something does happen.

My emaciated doe, Elsa, that I brought back is starting to drop a gut and fill out with abdominal fat. She was scaring me before. The other doe I brought back home is actually looking fat for real, Elsa is probably a few weeks behind her just because she's BIG. Those two tried to die on me. They're getting fed for their production now (and they are bred!)

I'm excited to go through my retained stock and see what kind of udders we get.

It's not quite farm related but there are a lot of Asian immigrants in our area. The older ones seem to respond to the luxury of living in suburbia by growing beautiful and productive gardens despite the poor soils. Someone over by our grocery store was selling their backyard farmed pawpaws on fb marketplace, so I picked up a whole bunch. They are as good as they tell you they are-juicy fruit gum, mango, custard, sometimes butterscotch flavored with a mushy custardy, maybe banana-y texture. Now I get to rub the membranes off the seeds so I can overwinter them in the fridge and sprout my own (I hope, not sure to what end). On Thursday I plan to pickup some similarly backyard farmed figs.

And just like that fall kidding is officially over. There were kids on the ground all over the kidding stall when i got back from church and both does were cleaning. One is a doeling and she will get DNA'ed and i want her for my experimental program because she is the equivalent of lamancha dairy royalty out of nubian dairy royalty, at least on paper (in reality a goat is a goat). She should be very correct and very dairy and 75% lamancha (ugh, and elf eared!). 5 does delivered in 24ish hours, 9 kids, out of those 3 were doelings, 6 were bucklings.

First kids out of Lucky*Star's LOT Pepper (over Lucky*Star's LL Pete daughters) and Buck Creek Andre Xander the mini

Pictures later after bottles.
