It holds one bale on it's side. You can also get a 2 bale size. The spacing is wider for cows and calves so I will probably line it with cow panels or leftover 6"x6" fence wire. It keeps the hay up off the ground and if I line it, will keep the hay inside and not scattered and trampled. I think I eventually want to have one in each pasture so I don't have to move them around as I move the sheep, but since we only feed hay while the grass is not growing, maybe just one for the rams and one for the winter dry lot. I need to see how we like it. We unloaded it from the truck with the tractor and can drag it from place to place. It also comes apart so the side and center panels can be stacked to move them. It is made by Metro Gate in Paris. If you contact them they will give you a dealer near you.

DS1 ordered the new hay spear yesterday, and then we put up the vinyl outdoor cabinet for our muck boots. It lives on the patio next to the door. No more pile of boots ad shoes in front of the fireplace. Floor stays cleaner because we are not tracking mud and dirt into the house. The laundry room is not usable as a mudroom. Eventually we will screen in the small patio off the living room and use it as a mudroom, and maybe build in a larger covered deck. The front porch would be lovely to sit on, but with the highway it gets pretty noisy.
DS1 has had some sort of cold thing but is feeling better now and will be starting the next fences today or tomorrow. He figures he will have them in by the time he and DH head for California to pick up another load of our belongings. We left a lot of stuff there because we did not have anywhere to store it. With the conex boxes we wil be able to sort and store our stuff. We will get the final load in January when we list the house. I will have some cleaning and partial painting to do in the house. I told DH that I would try to find a house/sheepsitter so we could all go back. That way we can use DS2's truck to haul back a rental trailer and get the property completely cleaned out. DS2 and DDIL2 will continue to live there until the house sells and escrow closes. I'm not leaving it empty.
I have the front of Baby Alexander's Christmas stocking appliqued and ready to start beading After that is done I will sew the front and back together, put the lining and cuff on, and it will be finished. It is probably the last grandchild Christmas stocking I will make. Each of the kids have their own Christmas calendar hanging with the handmade ornaments to hang up each day until December 24. Mine will go to DS1 who isn't married. If they had learned to sew the kids could make their own for their children. LOL
My computer keeps freezng but it says the "website is not responding". I am not sure if it is the website when I first log on or my computer. The screen on my laptop has a crack and I probably need a new one but am reluctant to spend the money. Maybe I will ask all my kids for Amazon gift certificates for Christmas and then DS1 and DSIL1 can find me a good laptop. The Black Friday sales are coming up as well. I don't play games but need storage since I do all the business correspondence on my computer.
Here's a DYI alternative....still needs to have a section of fence to help keep sheep/goats out. I bought 2 intact units at auction for $20 each. DS is going to convert. @Baymule it may be tight for big rolls...but smaller & sq bale works!
