Hi--I have a young Alpine Doe ( 15 months old). I have noticed a circular haped hair loss on her face/ cheek. Just on one side. She is acting fine--eating, drinking, pooping normally. The rest of her coat looks nice and shiny. It is about the size of my fist-- It is odd-- very round. Skin not broken--just looks like she was trimmed in that one spot. She does rub her face against the side of the barn, fence, etc, but I don't know if that is causing it, or because of it.
My other 11 goats show no sign of this..She was wormed late last fall.
We supplement with minerals (block). Currently, she is getting hay daily, with 3 plus acres of brushy weedy field to graze . also about one cup of pellets per day.
any ideas what this could be, or how to treat it?
Thanks for all replies!
