Something NEW !!!!
Last week DH spotted a posting on FB - someone selling some sheep. One a California Red ewe 4 yrs old, and a ewe lamb - California Red x Dorset. Yup - I know, wool. So I went and looked, and saw what I liked. Today we went and picked them up. They are settling in quickly. Well heck nothing like a juicy alfalfa flake to start. ;) While they settle in, I'm back at the house to grab a PB & J. I'm so excited to finally have one of these and the lamb. They both seem super sweet. Lamb is not related to the ewe.

A semi-before and after --
Plucked out the ram-pal, well mostly. I got more plucked off his neck and more off the rear than in this pic. Tried more this morning but it just wasn't plucking on his neck or rear so a hand shears finished the job.

Got him when he was older - looking at the spots he was probably a cute little lamb at one time. Probably 10-12 yrs old now.
