Annnnnd - this afternoon - Silver presented me with twins - her first set of twins. A ram (black) 11.4 lbs, and a ewe (brown/silver) 5.0 lbs...

I think this is the end of lambing. Though there are two more ewes who ~could still lamb. Latest date from when the ram was in with them would be Sept 8.

You have gotten a lot of rams -- bigguns! But like I say here, hay $$ or freezer fill. It's all good. Lots of color this year, too. That ram is 2X his sister. You've had a pretty good yr.

I was thinking the same - but it's actually an even split (so far) 6 and 6, most of the ewes came first, so it seems all rams at the end. A LOT of color this time around - really pleased about that. I need to get pics of them all together.

First time lambing Mocha released her prisoners! Two ram lambs - 8.0 and 7.0 lbs and colorful twins at that! And -- more than likely not staying here.

They weigh less than my grandson did when he was born. He was 10 lbs 8oz.

I didn't know that sheep had so many twins and triplets! Looks like they are all healthy.

Twins and triplets are pretty common. As are singles. There can be quads as well.
This time around I have:
1 set of triplets
3 sets of twins
4 singles
