I’ve encountered horse folks throughout my life and nearly all of them had been seriously injured at some point by a horse they knew well. Usually a third party was involved but broken bones are broken bones. Horse people have my utmost respect. It takes dedication and a certain kind vigilance I don’t think I can summon anymore.

Your barn has pavers for the floor? OK, I have some serious barn envy here! Please! Barn pictures!
Her barn is cleaner than my house...
I saw the pavers, and went :caf . I don't recall seeing pavers for a barn floor before...not that I've seen that many barn floors!

I weighed 11 of the 12 lambs and let them roam the barn aisle for a bit.
So -- time for a photo dump!

I like to lounge on the cart - it comes with hay nibbles.

Standing on the scale is no fun, unless I want to, when I want to and not when you want me to...lol

Barn Tour

OK - here's a barn tour since you all asked for it............ (and btw Tuesday is clean the barn day because Wednesday is trash pick up day).......
Oh - and the pavers are rubber.
Walking into the front......

Left side - one12x12 stall and a 12x24 stall

Right side - 12x12 tack room, 12x12 hay stall, 12x12 stall
IMG_4896.JPEG

Tack room - rubber paver floor............
(magnetic white boards to keep quick info i.e. lamb info - birthdate, weight, etc).......
IMG_4899.JPEG

Hay stall..................(same floor as is in all the stalls - foam with heavy rubber on top)
Sounds great and it's really nice, drawback - use a lot of shavings to soak up urine, and
frequent stall cleaning.

12x24 Stall ................

Looking out to the "patio" on the back of the barn..................(you can see part
of the handling system - Premiere 1 Prima Gates rule!! I've been adding to what
I have for years now, I think I have all that I need.

Looking back into the barn..............

And finally, looking out the front of the barn to the driveway......

Grabbed one more photo - the east side of the barn......

A while back I sort of decided that I wanted "eye candy" sheep. OK and add in sheep that grow nicely and quickly to marketability. My start with "working sheep" (for training dogs) mix of hair breeds mostly dorper crosses my best guess, and then the addition of 4 dorper ewes (not truly sure two were dorpers because one was silver and the other black). With the current crop of lambs I've got some colors going on. Four that are brown, one that is seal brown, one that is black and one that is calico spotted. Half of the lambs are not white. It's fun to see what I get. Will they bring more at auction? Who knows. Time will tell.
Here's the keeper ram lamb 6 weeks old....

Do the sheep fight over which chair they get on the patio?
:lol: :lol::th:clap:clap:idunno:lol::lol::lol:

Really?? A patio??? Dang. Mine are lucky to have a roof. 😂 It's lovely and obviously used, as you do have clients coming. My buyers are told to wear rubber boots & watch your step!

It's a paradise set up. 🥰
