Got the ram lambs all separated out. Phew - what a job. Well - it wasn't that bad, I liked it. But it was a tad noisy -- baaaaa baaaa baaaaa. I got a text from my neighbor down the road (1/2 mile-ish) checking to see if everything was ok as they heard a lot of baaaa-ing. A good neighbor - she has/had the goats and the LGDs that occasionally came to visit. Texted her back that all was well, and I bet she could hear our commotion - it was deafening up here! She laughed :)
So they are all separated out, still some calling and calling back - but they are really more interested in the alfalfa. Boys.

Oh course, with all sheep chores around here help was definitely needed and Obi and Zo made it a lot easier than it would be without them. The stop gate and Premiere 1 panels helped a lot as well.

I have been considering learning American sign for discussions during sheep working and weaning. Even though the barn is towards the back of the property, between the screaming sheep and occasional semis and cattle trucks thundering past in front, DS1 and I see moving lips but hear nothing! DH has hearing aids anyway so he is a lost cause.

Sneaking in a little grazing time this morning. Temps 53-79 - have to get while the gettin's good (cool).
That's Zo in the pic - the boy is still rambunctious and Obi is still the master.
This is just the lambs and ladies, all the ram lambs are separated out and growing out for auction and freezers in a few months.

I've got a bunch of videos from this fall of what we do out here. I'll post them as I get them up on youtube.
This one -
A narrow graze. Meant to have the sheep graze a narrow strip while slowly moving along. Obi and Zo doing the hard work, me just watching and amazed at how these two work together.

Wow, they definitely know what they're doing. Shows expert training... well done!
