Have him get plenty of pads and tape. They can go in the emergency supplies. I also keep several rolls of vet wrap (cheaper from the animal supply companies or feed store) than the human stuff and it is the same thing. Of course, you can't use vet wrap on your bandage in that location :gigbut I use it a lot on bandages in other spots. It is particularly useful to use on men who are hairy. (DH shrieks like a baby if I try to put tape on his hairy arms so I wrap the bandage in vet wrap. It is the same stuff the doctors are using just in cuter colors. LOL) Also handy for the livestock.
Wish I could vet wrap mine  I've got a great supply too!
Note some tefla pads have adhesive on one side GAHHHHH :th (found that out with the ones I just got.) Never thought to read the label beyond "Tefla non-stick"

Are they ever still? Do they ever park the sheep in a good spot, then stop to watch?
I'm used to my LGDs, they laze around until there is SOMETHING, then they spring into action.
Occasionally. I have gotten to enforcing a "stay" -- mostly because of Obi being <cough 10 1/2> and they will for a bit, and then get up and start moving. Many many times I have gotten down on whoever only to find that they were in fact right moving as the sheep 95% of those times will move to where the dog(s) were headed to keep them in the area. Amazing to watch as it happens - all instinct. I'll still keep trying and of course they'll do what they need to do,,,, and in the end alot of the time I will be saying "Sorry, you were right". :)
