It is for sure! Make-shift is just as good many times. We have been doing this for 7yrs and everything for all livestock is make-shift systems. We are wanting to ramp up our numbers and go more commercial so I'm not doing that without some easy to move/use systems set-up, so legit sheep handling stuff is on the menu. There is just not a way we can make the same systems out of wood and be able to move them with any efficiency. The barn set-up is one where the handling system will need to be taken down when not being used.

Make shift works. I think most if not all of us are masters of taking a pile of worn out, broke down, throw away reject crap nobody else wants, cobbling it together with deck screws, hay twine, wire and a prayer, and making something useful to us.
