I have a 2 year old Nubian doe. She had one buckling March 9. We've weaned the buck off of her and have been milking once a day, just started milking twice a day. she only gives about 1.5 quarts of milk. (Not a lot, I know)
I believe she had lung worm - clumpy stool, skinny, coughing, panting- those kinds of signs. Talked to her old owner (Who breeds Nubians and Lamanchas, one of the biggest goat breeders in our area) wormed her with the wormer he uses (Panacuur the horse wormer) I just gave her the final dosage yesterday, so I suppose it still needs time.
The problem is she doesn't seem interested in her grain and she is extremely skinny. She gets hay at night and eats brush during the day. For grain she is getting 1 cup of corn, 1 cup of Hay Stretcher(Marketed for horses) and 1 cup of regular Blue Seal goat feed (About 16-18% protein). She has free choice minerals. Her coat is also very rough. I don't know how to get her to eat her grain, she seems interested in hay and brush, but she'll only take a couple bites of her grain and then stop.
