I have a 2 year old Nubian doe. She had one buckling March 9. We've weaned the buck off of her and have been milking once a day, just started milking twice a day. she only gives about 1.5 quarts of milk. (Not a lot, I know)

I believe she had lung worm - clumpy stool, skinny, coughing, panting- those kinds of signs. Talked to her old owner (Who breeds Nubians and Lamanchas, one of the biggest goat breeders in our area) wormed her with the wormer he uses (Panacuur the horse wormer) I just gave her the final dosage yesterday, so I suppose it still needs time.

The problem is she doesn't seem interested in her grain and she is extremely skinny. She gets hay at night and eats brush during the day. For grain she is getting 1 cup of corn, 1 cup of Hay Stretcher(Marketed for horses) and 1 cup of regular Blue Seal goat feed (About 16-18% protein). She has free choice minerals. Her coat is also very rough. I don't know how to get her to eat her grain, she seems interested in hay and brush, but she'll only take a couple bites of her grain and then stop.

My nubian doe was like you describe.
I gave her copasur copper bolus.
A vitamin b shot may help her appetite.
The only best sure fire thing to do is have a vet give her a check up and run some labs on fecal and blood material.
Doing this sounds expensive but in the long run may save you tons of money and possible the life of the goat.

Update, We called the vet on Tuesday because she stopped eating hay and brush. Found out she has an infection. He gave us banamine and antibiotics. She's been getting Kyro syrup (Just a sugary syrup to help give her more energy) and probiotics also(Per his recommendation). She still has no appetite and is very lethargic. Today when I brought her out of the barn, she laid down and started screaming. She was near the rest of the herd and I was right next to her so she couldn't be calling for her friends. I don't know why she was screaming, she had food and water nearby.

What should I do? Should I give her more banimine? Is there any other pain killer I can give her? She seems very upset still. She did lay down and sleep for a little bit, but she just got up and started screaming now.

Can you call the vet that treated her and explain what is happening. She may be having a reaction to the meds and possible need to change meds.

I called the vet earlier, and left a voicemail. It's a Saturday, though, so I don't know when there office will call me back. :\
I gave her cinnamon and nutmeg because those spices are supposed to help relive pain. She stopped screaming and is laying down now. She started to eat a little brush. Hopefully she'll start getting better or the vet will call me back soon or both. :fl

These things always happen on a weekend or late night.
Hopefully the vet calls you back and can help you.

She died.:hit

The vet called back and said to give her aspirin twice a day, and if that didn't help he could come back out.
She started screaming again in the afternoon. Didn't have any aspirin in the house. By the time I had gotten some and went out to give it to her, she was dead. The aspirin was just to take away her pain,so it probably wouldn't have done much anyway.
