I love my vacuum sealer!

There are a lot of people with sheep now and they undercut their own selves. They don’t know enough to take culls to auction, especially if they are registered. They either sell way too cheap or try to get top price on everything instead selling the best, take rest to auction.
You nailed it!
Me - I mostly go to auction with mine - one and done. I do have people come to me and I just give a price and no bartering. So far it works for me. Fingers crossed I can keep working this way.

We have a cactus plant that we have had for a couple of years that finally has a bloom on it.

Funny about ram price. A person asked about a goat buck, I priced. He wanted to think on it. Fine. 2 months later I took it to auction, getting $100 more than offered to him! 🤷 It was a really nice boy but we can't keep everyone.

Looking at my current lineup I'm thinking Squeaker will need to move on soon. Sad because he's giving 85% doeling. However, I have an unrelated dappled buckling by the buck sold. He's a tank and dappled on both sides -- so lots of color that always sells well. We move on!

We got both Maisy and Mel in over the last few days to get their summer haircuts. We have had people tell us not to do it but after we had these long haired dogs for awhile, we decided to completely disregard the "expert" who said to never cut these dogs hair and made life bearable for them. Maisy has a coat so thick that even rain won't penetrate (which may be the reason it is so thick) but both of them are constantly panting once the temps get around 90 or higher. Both of them cut back on what they want to eat when it is hot and both lose quite a bit of weight over the summer with full coats. We only get them cut once a year (about the time it starts getting hot) and they lose zero weight over the summer and they aren't miserable in the heat.

Those "experts" don't live in TN/KY. They don't understand how hot and humid it is-and how every morning the dew is almost as heavy as a rain and it often doesn't get cool at night. The dogs can't eat. If they don't shed to a fine hair they bake. If the dogs get excited for the clippers you're probably doing the right thing.

We used to shave all our Pyrs and the Aussie for the summer. The dogs used to try to hide for the first day and looked embarrased but got over it. LOL It really helped with flea and tick control. It also helps with keeping them from getting any burrs or stickers working their way into their skin and making infections. The coat grows back without a problem in time for winter.
