Our son said our neighbor (I guess the one who also has goats) stopped by yesterday while I was napping and hubby was in the shower. The guy wanted to ask us if we knew how to stop a goat from sneezing. Again, I guess this was the neighbor with goats and not some random person asking riddles. Son told him to check back with us. (Like he thought we'd know the answer or something.) So I figured I'd at least bring as little as I know to the table. Anybody have any experience with goat sneezing?

Without any other information it's hard to answer the question. Here's a couple things your neighbor should look for: Does the goat have an elevated temp? Is there snotty discharge with the sneeze? Is the appetite good?

Hopefully, the sneeze is the only symptom and it's nothing serious. Here is a simple consideration... most folks are feeding lots of hay this time of year. Hay can be dusty, it can have allergens of all types floating around in it... Could be that simple - or could be more.

When I first got goats I was constantly calling the vet for every sneeze or cough. I think my vet thought I was "one of those owners" and I was!

The best advice he ever gave me was "goats cough" and "goats sneeze" and he was right!
