A closer look at the backstitching

I actually modified the back stitching in a lot of spots. They wanted it to follow the black exactly so that there would be no white showing. But orcas are so smooth… I thought that would make them look all sharp and weird. Even with modifying as I did, the breaching orca's back still looks a little bumpy.

This is after 3 washes.
One initial wash, then a second to spot treat a couple of marks/stains. Then I went to use the bathroom and had it spread on the kitchen floor on the towel. I was gone for 2 mins, tops. My oldest STEPPED on it with her bare foot after being in the dusty basement. Oooh. I was unhappy.
Washed for the 3rd time
I'm pleased to report all that marker came out that the little guy decorated it with. I also don't see any (at least obvious) stains or grime from it being in the hoop. I'll be able to inspect it better once it's dry.
