The Crafty Broad Imposter - Projects and Progress

When it comes to craft projects, it's all or nothing. I'm either obsessed or have zero desire. Currently in the "obsessed" phase. Last week I was furiously crocheting a baby blanket for a little one due next month. Finished it and sent it off.
Then I had the idea to cross stitch a bookmark for each of my sisters for Christmas.
Here is the first one for my sis who loves cats:

Very nice work! The back should look as tidy as the front, and seldom is so you are very talented.

How do you plan on finishing the fabric? Fringe-ing aida cloth works very well, but you probably know that.

Thank you so much! My grandmother taught me how to stitch when I was pretty young. She showed me how to keep the back neat. I didn't even know until recently that other people don't necessarily do that, which blew my mind a little.

How do you plan on finishing the fabric? Fringe-ing aida cloth works very well, but you probably know that.

I haven't decided yet. This is my first time making bookmarks. I've framed other cross stitch pieces in the past.
I don't think I want to do the fringe since I would like the back covered with a different piece of fabric. Even though the back looks pretty good, it feels unfinished to me to have it visible.

I used to cross stitch a lot. At that time there was a once a month flight from VA to FL...for 8 yrs. It was easy to carry a small container & work it. So many Christmas ornaments! . And some large wall hangings. It's relaxing in its own way.

Definitely relaxing but I make sure my kids are either busy with something else or taking a nap!

You didn't save any? I didn't save any of my first ones... and I'm sure they were quite bad. Lol
