Time to start cutting my days down from 5 to 3 I am burnt out, I packed my service bed project up with all my tools associated with the project and brought it home last Friday. When I get this service bed together and look finally official I think the winds of change will start blowing.
Went from $75 an hour in Washington state (2018) to here at $30 an hour, nope not doing it anymore. Bought a service truck from this run with more tools, going to tie up loose ends and set sail.

I don’t what’s crazier, the fact that I have someone few miles up the road wants me to use my equipment to offload a hot tub this weekend or that I got 40 ducklings coming. Both use an exorbitant amount of water out here in high desert country. I guess his would be since they don’t have a well.

A hot tub with no water! This guy is brilliant!
No what's brilliant is the fact the only reason I ever met him was two years ago coming home I seen a broke down Dodge 1500 with 500 gallon water tank full (4170 lbs) in the back on the side of the road, no driver. Drove another 4 miles and he was attempting to walk 15 miles home cause he blew a tire out and was going to get a spare tire and walk back. :hu
That's a common sight out here, people in class 1 trucks Dodge 1500, Ford F150, Chevy 1500 with 500 gallon water tanks in the back. One neighbor down at the bottom of the ridge uses a Chevy Colorado .

2 tons of water, on a 1/2 ton p.u.....:he:he:he:th:th:th:duc :smack :smack
Don't you know the property back in the day was cheap, only about $1k per an acre on 20 acre parcels then factor in about $50k plus for power, add in a well for another $30k plus , the road is fked 9 ways from Sunday, tires are must once a year if driving to town for work daily. Oh yeah that daily driver will last a few years cause you couldn't afford a decent one since you couldn't afford all the aforementioned. Instead you are getting 500 gallons in that beater you drive, you are buying generators one or two a year plus the fuel to run them and you are beating the system living off grid just like in the Tic Tok videos :gig

BTW anyone thinks they can give it a go, property is now $5k an acre for minimum 20 acre parcels and then factor in all the above while making average $20 an hour in town.

In the 1800s there were many people who headed west to make their fortune, or find a new life, failed, and finally went back east, if they survived.

Only reason I made it and am thriving, intelligence, experience and drive. One would be lucky to get common sense from people in this day in age.
