Water rights are like mineral rights and in a place that is considered desert like, think of it like striking oil with mineral rights on your property. Guess what, my well goes dry and others around are pulling from same area that have filed after me they must let me have their water.
Being that my part time neighbor who is flush with cash has been waiting going on 3 years for a well to be drilled and I get mine first, he thought I was stupid for digging it so far away. Yeah he can go suck a wet fart cause that is as close as he will get to water.
