Well you see.... According to the unofficial bid that was agreed upon, it only covers drying it in. So that's upon the customer to do.
With that said, he is trying to trade a backhoe he bought for my labor/skills on finishing the house after drying it in and wants a comprehensive list of what I will do in trade. Not exactly what I want to do.
List would include septic, rough in plumbing, electrical, framing interior walls (which is minor), putting drywall up (I'm not feeling it in drywall section) and insulating it. I feel that much work is worth more than what he considers worth $8700 by the price he paid for the backhoe when he only paid $8200 for it. I see only $6k in that machine.

I see it as his problem of being stupid shouldn't be my business problem.

All designed on my laptop  If there is a board to be cut or put anywhere I have the dimensions/angle drawn up.
Then I would figure up what portions would be 6k. Give him a bid on what you would do for the trade and then give him a cash bid on the remaining work that needs to be done. That's what I would do. He's basically asking you to work for free on the balance. Everything you listed that he wants done is a heck of a lot more than $8700.

I lead an eccentric life and not by choice or I don't think so 🧐
Met the people building the house across the prairie that I have been racing against inadvertently. Up on the house building today watching neighbors going by that lost a cow out here (yes a cow got loose from my neighbors at the bottom of the ridge, the ones building a half arse cob house) seen a truck go by on the main one direction, UPS going another direction another neighbor going somewhere else as someone set up a chess board and everyone was moving pieces at once and for the master piece of checkmate, a gal on an ATV which came from the house being built across the prairie by her dad, lined it up perfect. Went off the main road hit right between a culvert and intersection road, airborne that ATV into a cluster of mailboxes.

Everyone I mentioned including me drove over there, UPS driver stopped another neighbor who seen it stopped by driving off into the ditch with a car, had lacerations to her face, smashed in her face of instant swelling on one side, possible paralysis, losing conscious, puking and we are trying to keep her stable and warm with ton of blankets coats and whatever till paramedics arrive, which out here is an hour. Also managed to get the passerby's car out of the ditch, UPS is going to be late delivering packages and when the sheriff showed up asking for phone numbers they sure called my name out of everyone.

I hope she recovers quickly and fully.
