I have 2 Border Leicesters - what cool wool.
So sorry to read about your Jenny. You valiantly tried helping her though. It seems like when sheep go down that's usually it. I wish they could tell us well in advance so we could save them.

So since you've been a long time sheep farmer do you have any recommendations on what to do for a 15 wether that has a runny nose? No other symptoms other that getting old and getting thin, I'm feeding him some medicated grain and called the vet but they won't prescribe anything unless they come out at $200 for the farm call + what ever else is prescribed. Any thoughts/recommendations? He's eating fine and grazing just has a runny nose.

If it’s clear snot and he’s not coughing or wheezing, his temp is fine, and he’s acting normal, I wouldn’t do anything except keep an eye on him.
