Horror 1 day 1 - found turkey with head and neck gone and rear end chewed.
Horror 2 day 2 - found Duck with head and neck gone and breast chewed
Horror 3 day 3 - found duck feathers and blood only
Traps set and everyone was locked up at night after day 2 attack but the duck found a way out somehow so did a barn cat which was sat waiting for me in the trap
Now for the bizzare bit - I set off for TSC this morning and found the missing duck a mile away on the highway with neck gone only.
I'm thinking racoon as a fox or coyote would have eaten more than just a neck and prob carried off the first duck kill - The turkey was a 30lb egg layer so I understand why that was still there.
Theres no footprints as the mud has dried out but this is war now as far as I'm concerned and I'll be staying up tonight with gun and flask

Sucks dealing with critters. But they were there first and just doing what nature tells them to do.
