Vegetable Oil?

At the barn where I ride, we have used a bit of vegetable oil in the horses daily grain to control dry weather/spring dandruff.

Is this acceptable for goats? Can I put a bit of oil in their grain, or can that hurt them?

Thanks!

I have no idea if the oil would be good or bad. I know we use when they bloat but personally I wouldn't feed it on a regular basis. You can feed BOSS or pumpkin seeds to help with coat.

Do your goats have dandruff? If you are seeing flaking skin, you may have parasite or dietary issues.

The smaller one had dandruff for about a week or so when the weather heated up, but it is better now, and dpseemed to fix itself on its own.
