What breed is this?

I found this add on Craig's list and I'm looking for a new buck. The people say they don't know what breed he is but he might be a Rex. Looks kinda like a New Zealand to me but I'm not sure. If it's a NZ I will want to buy him...

If you use the items in the cage to try to get an idea of the size of the animal, he looks a bit on the small side. He doesn't look like a good Mini Rex, but he may be what a lot of folks refer to as a "midi Rex," something that isn't as big as a Rex, but not as small as a showable Mini Rex, either.
