What do you do about flies?

I finally found permethrin spray and it works great. Tried others but they cost $10 per bottle and spraying a whole farm gets expensive!
What have you found that works the best for the cheapest?

I can't use sprays because I have chemical issues and practically all products are off limits for me. Are you spraying livestock?

Pigs, and our farm in general.

Ducks! I've heard that Muscovies eat flies - but I've never tried it....

We don't have flies much here....could be due to the chickens and ducks free ranging or even due to using DL and fermented feed. We also have fly catchers who nest here on the side of the house each year.

Good thing you did... $10.00 per bottle sounds extremely expensive for the farm... especially when you need to spray that at least 2 times a month...

Lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint and lemongrass essential oils – Not only will spray these oils around the house create a beautiful aroma, but they will also deter those pesky flies too. Apple cider vinegar – Flies love the smell of apples and vinegar.
