Itchy could also be spring shed out of winter coats. . But check them for everything, while you have them caught up. Take more pics, we all learn from one another and our situations. And have they been wormed?

Of course hands on looking is best but, we give out best guesses. @farmerjan & I have been working with animals for more yrs than we care to know but, from afar it's our "looks like, guess time". Always interesting to see treated results.

I used saline and cleaned it up. I was able to squeeze white pus from it. Tomorrow I’m going to call the vet.. I tried contacting a mobile livestock vet but I haven’t heard back so I’m just going to take him to a local vet.

Looks like a hole on neck....if pus you squeezed out was thick, like a cheese, CL most prob. Otherwise a puncture, etc. Iodine the wound & ears. We wait for vet.

Thank you. When I squeezed it, it seemed like a pimple and a little puss came out.. I tried to squeeze more.. gently and nothing else came out but i felt some swelling. It literally showed up over night.. I was so concerned.. the ear stuff showed up at the same time as the neck wound. I was told to feed him sweet feed from his previous owner.. should I switch his feed? And what should I do for the vitamins? I’m brand new with owning goats so I’m sorry for all the questions.

The wound may simply have been an abscess from a puncture as simple as a splinter of wood -- they're rubbing on stuff. Those will be a fast moving build up of simple pus, a bodies reaction to damage. He could have picked up chiggers from trees. Iodine. Then Vaseline on ear spots. Have any paste dewormer? Rub a touch of that on the ear patches. It'll kill mites, lice, etc. good for the goat.

This treatment can save a vet call. Watch for improvements. Also, original gold Listerine is good for fungals, hotspots, etc. I've used on horses, cats, dogs. It clears and heals. Itch stops & inexpensive.

Questions are not an issue . It's how we learn.

Zimectrin Gold is good for tapeworms. If you see segments in their poop, use it.

I did as you suggested! I wiped it on the outside.. should I have wiped some on the inside too? And how often should I be putting the ivermectin on his ears?

Wipe thin amount on bare spots on outside of ears. Once is. pretty much it -- check every 3-4 days for any more spots...and hair re-growth. You can put it on the entire ear outside but your just killing any unseen nits, ringworm, etc that might be causing this. Watch for improvement. It's a forgiving drug, so no worries about that use. Just like you'd put lotion on you own skin. Use the regular paste. Save the "gold" one ... It's got another chemical in it that won't hurt but, better saved for another use.
