My nubian mama goat doesn’t eat her minerals willingly so we try to remember to “sneak” some into her ration when we milk her. She has been shedding and her hair breaks and falls off. No bald spots and she still has plenty of hair. She’s a well fed glutton and we otherwise probably spoil her pretty well. I have noticed in the past couple weeks that I think she’s got the “fish tail” going for her too. I never remember to take my phone out for morning chores so I’ve no photo evidence. But I will attach some pics of her with her Nubian/nigerian dwarf baby girl for attention.

There’s probably no quick fix to this is there? Just good forage and remember those minerals?

I've had good results using kelp to help with hair growth/strength/softness. Regarding fishtail you could bolus her with copper. I use the bolus for kids regardless of the goat's age. I like the lower dose.

It is a bit of a rodeo with my goats to bolus them but once done they are good for at least 6 months.

Keep us posted on how your girl is doing!

We have kelp. Thank you.
We also gave them homeopathic Cina (good for deworming) and I’ve got myself on a full moon schedule with that. Hoping for improvement
