Alfalfa small bales, which are imported, by the way, are $10-11 per small bale.

Big round bales, local hay, about $25-35 per bale, but that is for pasture hay. We don't have good "hay ground" around here. This is Oklahoma red dirt country. If you get any hay, it's been fertilized for sure.

Our goats are brousing right now, we got plenty of that....

Not sure for round bales, but grass hay is $1.50-4.00 a bale for grass hay, $3-8 a bale for alfalfa/second cutting

Oregon you make me feel alot better about my high prices.

Alfalfa: (Prem SmSq $200-235/T Jun)

Good: LgSq $150-180/T

Good/Fair: LgRd $110 delivered

Mixed Legume/Grass

Prem SmSq $6.50/bale, $230/T

Straw: LgSq$110-120/T
Luckily for me I bale a majority of my own hay and grow all of my own Oats so that is a savings. Selling hay is getting better than Soybeans and Corn sadly enough.

here in south east iowa i just gave $3.50 for strait alfalfa squares that weigh @ 50-60 lbs each.

i also get grass-clover mix from the amish for $1.50-$3.00 per bale depending on cutting ( i got 100 bale of first cutting for $150.00; and 100 2nd cutting for $225) but not sure if there is going to be a 3rd if we dont get some rain.

and i have been buying large rounds from last year for $10.00 each - kept inside, still good - they go threw it a little faster but....

reg round bales fromm this year are $35 to $60 each
