Ridin' The Range
Here is a youtube video of our our Easter baby ND who we named Bunny because she hops and came Eater weekend. I can't believe how crazy and silly she is. I have been giving her and Frodo (her mama) supervised herd time every 1-2 hours for 10-15 minutes. Pippin, her dad, now a wether, gives her very soft head butts. Frodo, the mama, is having to re-establish herself in the herd, so there is a lot of sparring going on. I am keeping a close eye on things because Merry is still very pregnant and most of the head butting is between Frodo and Merry. Merry (still pregnant) and Pippin (wethered male) are ganging up on Frodo, but are being pretty subdued with the baby, Bunny. I want to be able to put Frodo and Bunny back with the herd as soon as Merry goes into labor as we will need the kidding area for her.
Am I being overly concerned about the herd dynamics or are they just being goats?
