Goat needs help

There are many things that could be wrong. How old is the goat, did you take his temperature, have you checked him for worms lately? What does he eat, any new feed?

If you look into his mouth at his gums, or the under side of his eyelids... you note how pink it is. A pale pink color means that he probably has a high worm load.
A little corn for a treat is OK, but it is a bad choice for goat feed. Goats need to eat mostly browse or hay. Growing animals, pregnant animals, and those in milk benefit greatly from supplimented feed.
What does "not that old" mean? Full grown , so over a year in age male... probably should eat only hay and browse.
However, if he is not eating or drinking. .. that is serious sick!
To take his temperature you put a thermometer up his rear, keep a hold on it until it beeps... then take it out and read it.

If you can get him to a vet that would be a great idea. Like others have said - corn is not great for goats - especially if its the only feed. Hay would be best. If he's not that old - like just a couple months it could be a coccidia problem. Young goats are very susceptible. If you can't get the goat to a vet you could take a fecal sample and the vet could tell you what he has and what to treat him with.
Penicillin won't help if it's worms or coccidia.

Greetings and welcome to BYH! So glad you joined us, but sorry for the reason. You really didn't provide enough information for folks to help you aside from recommending you take the goat to a vet. Hope you'll come back and update us as to the outcome. Hope he makes it. There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... Thanks for everyone's help this really meant a lot to me but sad news my goat did not make it. At the end he was really weak. One again thank you for you tips and help. This was one of my first goats and it's sad loosing him. Now I know I can count on you guys/girls for some help.
