These goofballs. :love Goliath, Greta, and Gable. They’ll be three weeks on Sunday. They are snuggly and rambunctious, and excellent camp ambassadors.

Bad news. :(

Goliath (#2, brown ears) has a slight breathy growl and lameness in his back legs. I was not diligent in getting Gertrude’s biosecurity panel back in time, and it seems pretty likely that Goliath is showing signs of CAE. I’m going to pull the kids and send the sample for testing; maybe the other two won’t develop the same symptoms.

Maybe I can build him a little wheelchair if he loses the use of his hind legs but is doing well otherwise? I also don’t know where to house Gertrude, because I don’t want my wether to become infected. He’s several years old.

No real change. Some days he puts more weight on his foot than others. It just hovers right above the ground. Just waiting on the results now.
have you checked for footrot especially if you had a lot of rain?

I had a doeling that wouldn't put a leg down at all and it was foot rot. we got 26 inch of rain in like 5 and a half weeks.
