I am not a bee person meaning I don't raise bees but we tolerate each other well enough.

Our winter has bee rather mild and the bees are out but the flowers are not so I'm finding bees in my duck and geese feed dishes. It looks like they, the bees, are rolling around in the crumbles. I don't think the birds appreciate the bees but there has not been any stinging.

What could I do to help the bees AND get them out of the birds' dishes?

Can you set out a shallow dish of water with some stones so they can get a drink of water without drowning and maybe make some sugar water for them to eat?

The bees at this time of the year are foraging for protein, not nectar, and they are finding it in your duck and geese feed.
You could purchase some pollen sub from Mann Lake, and set it out for the bees if you would like to help them. Place the pollen sub with some type of cover so the rain does not ruin it.

Hope this helps!
