I still like to get my hands in the dirt, but not where I can't see what may be lurking (spiders, snakes, etc).
LOL! this reminded me of something. A few years ago I was wearing one of those step counting bands & it would buzz & vibrate when (if) I hit my goal. I had been doing a some work in the barn & reached way back in a dark corner to get something. Just then my entire hand started buzzing & vibrating!!!! 😱💩💀 I was halfway across the barn & had tossed both gloves before I realized what was happening.

Good morning! Sipping coffee and reading up on what others have done building hoop coops. I have a couple adjustments I would like to make with this one.

Temperatures dropped significantly overnight, will be a cold work day after church, but I did construction in mid 40s before with the first coop, doable. And no gnats!

Awoke at 4:20, said nope! Back to 😴 up at 8. My body needed the rest from too many hrs at work this week. Having hot tea as I didn't want to wait on a pot of coffee to brew. Still waking, slowly.

Winds were strong late day and all night -- woke me up strong a couple times. From north and temps dropped fast into 20s. No idea why that happened, reports were for better stuff! Still a steady 10-12 mph. I'll just stay inside another hr or so. 😋

No plans. I'm taking a mental day off!! Will run the dishwasher, do couple loads of laundry, basic animal chores and " just loaf around". Rest. :old:caf

Wipe it today or scrub it tomorrow?
Windy this am. Warmish, 60’s later. I’m researching post shear care for the Racka and not finding much. “Provide shelter” - well duh. Maybe she can leave him a short fleece?
He has to do a total fast, I’m guessing his reintroduction to water needs to be gradual so he doesn’t tank up. Looks like he’s got some barn time coming. I have a whole new respect for people who keep wool sheep.
