He has been my chiropractor for over 30 years. One of my old order Mennonite farmers told me about him...and he has done wonders for me over the years. He said that one of the problems with all this "high blood pressure stuff" and that they lowered the numbers from the old 120/80 down to 110/70 is that the pharmaceutical companies actually were behind it... they determine what is healthy with no regard to a person"s height/weight/ AGE / activity levels... and it is a way to sell more blood pressure medicine that really does very very little for 80% of the people... except to make the companies more money.
He is very into fitness, and healthy stuff... but not a fanatic.... and makes you WANT to be healthier and more fit... not shame you into it...
He practices the Gonstead method of chiropractic medicine. He goes to seminars and such alot to stay up on things and takes courses occasionally to "stay sharp" as he says.
Yeah, I wish my age was closer to the top number when I have a normal day......If wishes were horses, beggars would ride....
I had a chiropractor years ago who used the Gonstead method, was wonderful.

Note about HBP, I suffer from White Coat Syndrome, my BP goes up in a doctor's office. ALSO, BP machines read high and should be recalibrated regularly...most are not. I ask for a manual BP reading, stethoscope type, and it's usually much lower, better.

Yeah - for sure the manual style always read lower. For me every. single. time.

Yeah they switched arms.. I am not impressed or worried... they made a big deal about it... Me ... EH.....
Just checked it a few minutes ago... just for sh!ts and grins... 122/80...

Did a couple errands on the way... got caught up in traffic from a 4 car...hit each other in the rear end...looked like an accordian... stuck together... just happened probably 10-15 min before I got caught up in the traffic as the fire engines and rescue and state cops all went roaring by on the right shoulder.... so I had to change plans and pick up the samples from the owner sampler farm, after testing. Called the farmer and told him what was going on... I was only 1 1/2 miles from the exit... but I was caught in traffic going 5 mph... stop and go... as people went by it... lost 1/2 hour at least.. but got to the farm 10 minutes late and then they started milking... could've been worse. by the time we got done, did their computer stuff, then went to get the samples and came on home...stopped and got a 5 gal bucket of chicken feed from the bin.... it was nearly 8:00... got the turkeys finally in their hutch...and filled the chicken feeder... carried water and filled the turkey's waterer... going to have to get them a bigger one... left water at the chickens for tomorrow...
I still have to work on the paper/computer work for the owner sampler farm ... get the reports all printed out for both farms, pack all the samples to take to UPS on the way to test tomorrow... and I have to go get the meters in the morning also...

Need a shower...

When my BP is checked, I can lower it by focusing on a clear blue sky, breathing in and out slowly and relaxing. Works for me.
LOL - I do similar - though of course a favorite dog is in that pic and me petting him or her. I try to be quiet but some of the staff likes to chat and of all things asks about traffic on my way in - blahhh :duc there goes the plan.

A wise nurse told me that I shouldn't talk while having my BP checked, as it will raise it.
