Prepper advice to use dehumidifier as a water source? What about no electricity? Oh, wait! Solar and wind sources! I don’t have any. Guess when SHTF, I’ll just have to run about on humid days with my mouth open, collecting water

Lightening has gotten intense!! Been going on over an hr. Rains are not as heavy as the darned thunder & lightening. Boom, crackle, rumble!!! You couldn't sleep thru it! . Lights have gone out twice but just quick off & on stuff. Guess it's our turn.

Seems last nights storm was the edge of a huge system covering central VA. Seeing reports that there were large power outages NW of me about 100+ miles. Here, it was like massive fireworks. Intense thunder & lightening. Didn't lose power, just a couple blips. Finally it quieted down & I went to bed...rains continued. Waiting on daylight now to see how wet it is More lawn mowing delays, I'm sure. Need to mow some pastures, too -- can't. Ground too wet for equipment. Wettest summer I've seen in years. It's usually hot and very dry, begging for rain.

Home a couple days & now, limits for what I can do. Annoying since work sched heavy next 2 weeks after almost no work past too...but triple digit temps limited time outside. Geesh. Weather woes. Roosters are crowing, daylight arrives . Time to refill my cup & see if there's a plan B.

ETA...news shows big 2 story home hit by lightening in last night storm, 12 miles away. Totalled. More storms tonight, heavy rains.

Nope, though might cut them off amongst other modifications.

Was a 1400 mile round trip (18 hr)that ended yesterday to get that service bed, instead of coming straight home I stopped in town and turned wrenches for 8 hours. Now I get to drive another 6 hours to wrench some more and need to put 10 loads of rock down before Monday.
